Find Strategy Reminder

The absolute return strategy looks at trends in short-term interest rates and interest rates differences across countries observed with a diversified set of factors.

The strategy leverages on a research paper (‘Beyond carry and momentum in government bonds’) released by our BNP Paribas Quantitative Investment Strategies Lab team (QIS lab), based on the results of their extensive work on factor investing in fixed-income.

The Febelfin Label

The Febelfin Label aims to provide investors with a stamp of approval to those funds, which are managed with sustainability in mind and are not exposed to controversial and very unsustainable practices. The main goal of this screening is to increase the quality of sustainable and socially responsible financial products. To this day, these funds cover less than 10% of the market hence they still represent a niche.

In order to award the label, the products are screened according to several criteria, including:

  • Exclusion of certain controversial activities
  • Selecting the best performing companies or countries in a peer group
  • Screening based on international norms & standards
  • Integration of non-financial criteria in the selection process
  • Focusing on specific sustainability themes
  • Pursuing measurable societal impact
